Everyone sets a goal to achieve at some point in our life. Whether it is on our bucket list or New Years Resolution, we try to accomplish something new or strive harder for something old. As I think about the future, I wonder who and where I will be. I created a bucket list to accomplish most, if not all, of the things on it before hitting the thirty year mark. Having a bucket list gives the importance of living on the edge.

The first thing marked off my bucket list was traveling the world. I wanted to travel to other countries to see the beauty and culture the world has to offer. The first trip was to Paris to see the Eiffel Towers twinkling lights illuminate the night sky. Baía do Sancho in Brazil has one of the best beaches in the world. I went to soak up the summer sun and to scuba diving with the sea turtles. Discovering Brazil was like discovering paradise. Trying the best pizza ever made in Italy was the highlight of my life American pizza never tasted the same after. I have had a love for dolphins ever since I was little; swimming with them in the Bahamas was an amazing experience. They are very fast, and one of them kissed me on the cheek. The rainforest in Costa Rica was incredible just by walking through it, but when you are from high above in a zipline the pictures do not do it justice. It is a different experience in the present moment.

Thirty years from now I would like to look back on my wedding remembering all of the beautiful oversized bouquets with the mismatched bridesmaid dresses as they walked down the aisle. My wedding resembled timeless elegance with a little bohemian style. The venue took place outside in a garden and after the ceremony, the reception was inside. The weather could not have gotten any better. The early October air cooled off the guests who were waiting for the ceremony to start. The wooden altar at the end of the aisle was decorated beautifully: pastel pink, red, and white flowers draping around it with greenery attached to it. It had a neutral color palette for the overflowing flowers in different centerpieces.

When I think about weddings, I picture the wedding dress. Not just any dress my dress. My dress sparkled with embroidered flowers, vines, and beading on the top with small sequins that flows into the bottom of the dress. It was a ball gown, but not as full of a dress. The train had the same details sewn into it as my dress. This dress made me feel like it was made only for me: a simple, elegant, and classic gown with a fairytale spirit in the beading details.

Another checkpoint on the bucket list would be to have a family. Everyone in my family has lived in Phenix City, Alabama; I was the first to move away from home to a different state. I married the man of my dreams, and we had three children. We bothwant to have a house in the mountains of Tennessee, so we moved and found a great job opportunity to open my physical therapy practice. Once you get a house, you have to get a dog we adopted a Goldendoodle puppy and named him Oliver. When we started to have kids, we had a boy first then girls a few years later because (1) I think every girl should have an older brother to look after them and (2) every girl deserves a sister to talk to or share clothes with. I was blessed with three babies with brown hair and eyes. All of my kids look like me and not my husband (pretty funny if you ask me). The bond with my kids was like no other. The memories with my kids were like the ones my parents did with me, always trying to soak up the moment because one day they will not be with me anymore.

Finally, completing all of these things before turning forty-seven years old will make me feel I am where I am supposed to be. God has a plan for me, and these things might not fit into what He has in store for me. Who truly knows what will happen in my life, besides God? I like to think of the future with the best attitude possible because anything can happen. I would like life to surprise me, but these would just be nice to experience. This is just a small part of my bucket list, there are many more things to achieve and see before kicking the bucket. Looking back at my life in thirty years and seeing I traveled the world, found the perfect husband, and started a family of my own, then my life would be successful.
