Introduction

Throughout the years of service that the Army provides has helped to protect and establish states. Various tactics were developed and modified to make the Army more effective. Nonetheless, aspects that could be modernized in the Army are still present. It is crucial to pay attention to educating soldiers to increase the quality of the service they provide. Army modernization should include the education of soldiers in the areas of leadership and talent management.

Developing Leadership Skills

Army modernization programs should include working on developing leadership skills among soldiers. The Army is a big team of people who work collectively to achieve a common goal. As in every group, it is crucial to have a leader in a group. For example, in group projects at University without a leader in a group, there is anarchy. As a result, without a leader common goal is not easily achieved. With a clear leader who can organize human resources and allocate tasks group succeeds. By managing educational programs to develop leadership skills, clear leaders will be identified in the Army. Developing leadership skills early on, in turn, will lead to soldiers taking the initiative to lead the group in the future.

Talent Management

Moreover, army modernization should work on talent management among soldiers. It is common for people to have various and unexpected talents in big groups. Consequently, some people have a unique set of skills that could be useful in the Army. Identifying talents that people have during the recruitment process will allow soldiers to develop their future skills further. For instance, some people can precisely shoot because of their hunting experience in the past. Consequently, people with such skills should be educated to use long-range precision fires (Center for strategic & organizational studies, 2017). As a result, human resources would be effectively allocated.

Conclusion

In conclusion, educating soldiers should be an effective strategy for modernizing the Army. Firstly, by organizing training designed to develop leadership skills, leaders of the groups will be identified. Further educational programs could be held with those soldiers to establish them as leaders. Moreover, the recruitment team should look for talents among soldiers. These talents could be further advance and be helpful on the battlefield.
