The U.S. immigrant assimilation ideology means that migrants within the U.S. borders will learn the English language and simultaneously adjust and embrace the American culture and living. Therefore, assimilation for immigrants cannot be segmented because it infringes migrants freedoms to practice their cultures and contributes less to eradicating racism. Still, if adaptation is segmented, the earnings per-hour will rise as duty-relevant skills will be imparted among the immigrants.

Notably, immigrant assimilation in the U.S will not be segmented because it infringes immigrants rights of practicing cultures and freedom of speech. According to Gamboa (2019) Latino-Americans get arrested by the Border Patrol Agents because of communicating in Spanish. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is against the idea of immigrant adaptation as it deprives peoples freedom of speech and culture. Additionally, immigrant integration in the U.S. will not be segmented since it contributes less to eradicating racism. As Gamboa (2019) opines, the whites continue referring to Latinos as foreigners. The whites attitude towards immigrants hikes the levels of racism. Despite the immigrants effort to embrace American culture, the native whites will consider them foreigners. Arguably, referring to immigrants as foreigners will escalate the animosity. Thus, immigrant accommodation will not be segmented because it contributes less to eradicating racism in the U.S.

However, the earnings per hour will rise as duty-relevant skills will be imparted to the immigrants if immigrant assimilation is segmented. Bleakley (2017) alludes that immigrant adjustment will enhance destination-related skills. Immigrants within the boarders will develop the required knowledge regarding their occupations, consequently increasing the pay. Assimilation will also contribute to equal competition for jobs between the immigrants and the natives, as employers are opting for immigrants because they are cheap. Holistically, earnings will increase upon the segmentation of immigrant adaptation.

Conclusively, assimilation for immigrants cannot be segmented because it infringes migrants freedom to practice their cultures and has less impact on eradicating racism. The whites will continue referring to Latino-Americans and other immigrant groups in the U.S. as foreigners, hence escalating racism. If adaptation is segmented, the earnings per-hour will rise as duty-relevant skills will be imparted among the immigrants. Above all, it is racism that is consuming U.S. integration, and immigrant integration cannot solve it.
