Books should and will keep its throne for the mending touch for mental health. From the 1450s to present, books are known for the ocean of knowledge, a portable teacher, and entertainment. They have regulated millions of stress, anxiety, and sadness, while television has only started in the early 1970s. Currency has been made more and more significant ever since 700B.C. Despite currency, time is valued beyond any emotions, currency, and relationships by some humans, yet writing a story and animating it for television entertainment is far more time consuming than written stories in novels. The nervous system is one of the most important systems in the body, the brain is the main ingredient within the nervous system. It needs exercise to remain functional and developing, books are an expert in keeping the brain developing and engaged, while television can indeed put out the same effect but at a less efficient way. Books and televisions will have their battle for decades, the controversy will be pacified and provoked together, but the throne cannot be alternated.

‘A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%. It works better and faster than other relaxation methods, such as listening to music or drinking a hot cup of tea. This is because your mind is invited into a literary world that is free from the stressors that plague your daily life.’ -The University of Minnesota. Time and currency, both are important in daily lives. Currency brings the essential needs of humans and entertainments, while time keeps everything in the world running. Books and televisions are both classified as entertainments, and one will stand tall over the other. The most popular type of productions from television is movies. In 2007, the average amount of money spent on writing, filming and publishing a movie is about $65, despite the fact movies tend to also take about six months or beyond. For books, however, it takes about $2000-$5000 to write and produce the book to society, and books absorb about 3 weeks to a year to publish. It is a rather tricky question, one has the advantage of one side over the other, and the other one has the other advantage over its opponent. At last, it is also affected by popularity, originality and main theme, different element attracts different readers.

Brain development is the main part of youth daily lives. There are already a lot of factors affecting brain development today such as drugs. Although there are special programs made for brain development, such as apps, and television shows, but books affect brains from a positive perspective than televisions. Books enhance a childs imagination by letting the child draw out the image of what the child thinks is happening in the book. Research shown imagery is simply automatic in the brain. The brain will constantly construct images of imaginations. Stanford University researchers have found that close literary reading, in particular, gives your brain a workout in multiple complex cognitive functions, while pleasure reading increases blood flow to different areas of the brain. -Open Educational Database. Different reading patterns causes different positive consequences. At last, books also introduce new knowledge every day, whether it is vocabulary, language or story writing tips, it is also a great skill to obtain and master in real life. Research has also shown viewing educational television shows is associated with high scores on tests, and books also help educational television shows to reduce aggression.

In conclusion, books will remain on its throne, remain safe, for now. Televisions have its own positive and negative effects on a different perspective, on the other hand, books are prone to perform the effects at a more profitable perspective with significantly greater efficiency. The battle of decades seems to draw to an end. However, there can be a twist, a plot twist in the history of humanity.
