The website https://www.ases.org/df is a reliable source due to many reasons; it has authority, an informative purpose, adequate ways of currency, and is very accurate. This website offers a lot of information about solar energy. It also coincides with another website, https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/solar/solar-energy-and-the-environment.php. This new website is more objective with its unbiased opinion and has more reliable authors, as it is government restricted. They both offer adequate information on solar energy though. When writing an academic paper both sources are reliable as well as the poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.

The American Solar Energy Society clearly gives the viewer access to their credentials and how to contact them. The site has an About Us tab where you can find what their views are, who is in charge, and a way to email and call them.

The easy access you have to their credentials and their organization improves their credibility. It shows the reader how confident they are in their cause. Email them anytime any day with any questions or concerns. Allowing the viewer to see their credentials allows them to see how reliable this source is.

The purpose of this website is to inform people about solar energy and get them involved in their organization. They have information about Solar energy all over the website and many ways to help support the organization. Upon opening the website there is information on an upcoming conference and where to attend it. (American Solar Energy Society).

The American Solar Energy Society informs their viewers of not only the benefits of solar energy but ways to get involved. American solar energy society is a non-profit organization and although they do allow donations, it is not one of their main purposes.

The Currency of this website is adequate. Scrolling to the bottom of the screen you can click on the years they have had the website. Clicking a year will link you to speakers, authors, and conferences they had that year. They offer links to different articles throughout the website. The links all stay on the same website; but they all have different authors, using different research. Looking up each author is not a problem if you just use google to confirm credibility.

The objectivity of the website is biased. The site does not offer adequate resources to research alternative energy sources. They only bring up the pros of their belief and the cons of others. Searching the website looking for another approach and the website is still biased. I managed to find one article on the site that mentioned anything against renewable energy sources. Were all aware that wind turbines are responsible for some bird deaths. (Mark Sargillo, American Solar Energy Society). The author still managed to cover that with the pros of renewable energy, However, this is essentially a utility-scale wind farm issue. One has to look very hard to find any documentation of small wind-related bird mortality.(Mark Sargillo, American Solar Energy Society). This website is very biased in their research. They only show the information on the positive effect of renewable energy; not negative as well.

The Accuracy of the American Solar Energy Society is hard to measure. All of the authors, on the website, that I have looked up are reliable. One of the authors of an article, about solar bikes, was Bill Young. He is the vice president of the Florida Renewable Energy Association. This website has credible authors as far as I can tell. They have multiple authors for different articles though; constantly updating the site. Before using an article on this or any site, I recommend checking the credentials of the author first.

American Solar Energy Society offers a lot of information on solar energy. They offer information about jobs available, how many jobs they create, and many more facts. On the site, there is a tab called Jobs Broad. Clicking on that will take you to a screen like this,

To look for available jobs, enter a job and the location. This will show you available jobs in the area you are searching for. The site will also show how many jobs they have and will create for Americans. It would also create a net gain of nearly one million jobs by 2030.(American Solar Energy Society). This site offers a broad variety of information on its narrow topic of solar energy.

The American Solar Energy Society is a good reliable source. The U.S Energy Information Administration is also a good reliable source. The U.S Energy Information Administrations website is restricted to government entities. I know this because the URL uses .gov. This lets the reader know the website reliable and government-restricted. Government restricted means only the government enters information on this website. Making the information credible. This website is even more reliable than the original website given. The site allows you to see the cons or limitations of solar energy, The amount of sunlight that arrives at the earth’s surface is not constant. The amount of sunlight varies depending on location, time of day, season of the year, and weather conditions, (U.S Energy Information Administration). The organization is offering some cons of solar energy, not just the pros. This website is very reliable as it is government-restricted information and non-bias.

The use of the U.S. Energy Information Administration website would be very helpful in an essay on solar energy. This website offers the pros and cons of solar energy, Using solar energy can have a positive, indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy sources that have larger effects on the environment.

However, some toxic materials and chemicals are used to make the photovoltaic (PV) cells that convert sunlight into electricity. Some solar thermal systems use potentially hazardous fluids to transfer heat, (U.S Energy Information Administration.)

This site is offering a pro on how solar energy reduces pollution and con on how it potentially release harmful chemicals. This can be used to help someones argument for solar energy. Solar energy does have negative effects, but nowhere near as bad as coal. This brings up the opposing side and proves it wrong. The paper could then go on to explain the cons of other companies. Then link it back to the pros of solar energy. The website is very reliable to use in an academic essay; it is non-biased and government restricted.

The theme of I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth was first published in 1807. The central theme of this poem is not how humans affect nature but how nature affects humans. He conveys this theme with multiple literary devices. The title of the poem itself is a simile, I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud. The author is comparing his loneliness to a cloud. To help portray the theme he uses personification. When all at once I saw a crowd, A host, of golden daffodils; (William Wordsworth). The author is personifying the daffodils has and if they are in a crowd, hosting a party. This conveys how nature is comforting us, greeting us to a crowd. Wordsworth wrote after he was in a field of daffodils with his sister on April 15, 1802. Knowing he wrote this from his own personal experience makes the poem so much more valuable. In todays standards, it is still so important to take the time and enjoy nature as Wordsworth and his sister did. Being happy in nature and everything it has given us creates joy in the heart.

The poem I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, can be used in an academic paper about solar energy. It can be added to let the audience know how important nature is. People do not only affect it but it affects people, without it who knows what will happen. I gazedand gazedbut little thought What wealth the show to me had brought: ( William Wordsworth). The author is saying how much he has gained from nature. He has so much more joy and happiness from nature. This can be used in a paper for renewable energy to show why we must protect nature and all its wonders. Solar energy protecting nature from pollution. Nature is giving us energy from the sun. We protect nature so we can continue to find joy and wonder in it.

The websites evaluated are reliable and appropriate to use in an academic college essay. Both websites have adequate information on solar energy. They would be helpful in any academic essay involving solar energy as there information on the topic is broad. The poem given would be helpful in an essay on energy as well. It gives the reader more emotional standpoint with the importance of keeping nature healthy. These sources would make reliable sources for an academic essay.
